Fixtures & Results

The following NORTHERN IRELAND BOWLING ASSOCIATION fixtures are scheduled for April through September 2013.

This season Clubs will be playing Home and Away due to the restructuring of the Leagues.
It is therefore important to complete the Match Result Cards with correct date and venue .
Please ensure that the Home Team is entered first on the card irrespective of the result.
This will avoid misunderstanding and help the League Secretary to apply the result to the
correct fixture

Sandown, 13th Old Boys & Glengormley B have withdrawn from all Competitons. All teams scheduled to meet them will now have a BYE

It is now possible to email the Match Results to the League Secretary using Excel Spreadsheet
A copy of the spreadsheet is available to any Match Secretary who wishes to avail of it.
Email me for a copy and I will forward it with full instructions.
An added advantage is that it allows you to keep a record of all results for the year plus a saving
of postage costs!

Please note the following with regard to postponed NIBA Fixtures. All dates and times for League, Cup & Competition Fixtures are as scheduled by the Honorary League and Honorary Competitions Secretaries and are the dates for completion of each fixture. Fixtures may only be postponed in accordance with NIBA Rule 13 - Postponements on Page 135 of the IBA Yearbook. It is my understanding that this rule has been amended so that all such matches postponed must be played on the following Tuesday at 6.30pm or on another date in that week, if agreed by both Clubs. In the event of a Club(s) still involved at the Semi-Final stages of the IBA Cups, such fixtures must be brought forward to the preceding Tuesday 9th August at 6.30pm. In the event of a Club(s) still involved at the Final stages of the IBA Cups, such fixtures must be brought forward. It is best to check this with the relevant League or Competition Secretary.
